Hello!

I know that I have disappeared over the last couple of weeks, I'm still here!! The sickness is better, throwing up on average of every other day and at random, so this is good news to someone who was throwing up all day everyday for what seemed like a long while!! The attack of the migraine headaches has come now. My doctor had warned me of two things regarding pregnancy and headaches-one, people who have migraines before pregnancy can either get them worse and more often OR not get them at all!!! Having migraines since about 3rd grade, I would say I am used to them, WOW, not like this!!! YIKES!! I have had one bad headache for about 4 days now. Some of those days it came out even worse. I now get a headache about every 2 days and can last sometimes through the next episode :( This world of pregnancy has not been kind to me, in fact I have said twice so far to Blake, that I am unsure if I can do this again. Those were during really bad times though, so hopefully my love for children and desire to have many over powers my selfishness to be well.

I go to the doctors next week for my 6 month check up!! Time really is flying!!! I will post my belly!! Yes, I said belly, I finally have one!!!

I am on vacation this week and will be doing Payton's room, cant wait to post pictures!! I am a bit slow on sewing her bedding so that will most likely be posted at a later date!! Ha

Hope everyone is well!! I will post next week!!

Who's Honkin for You?!?

I have to share something with everyone that I didn't know before about geese. Apparently hunters know this about these birds, Blake knew already, but these facts were shared in part of our church sermon last week that I thought were interesting. When you see geese flying do you ever notice there are A TON of them?! You can also hear them if you are outside. Did you know that the one "honking" the loudest, is the ones in the back. They are essentially encouraging the ones in the front to keep going. Also, the leader of the pack when they fly, switches every so often with the ones in the back, because the hardest position to fly is the leader, and when he gets tired he goes to the back and the someone from the back takes the lead for a bit. Another fun fact: Geese can fly 70% farther together than they can by themselves. How cool! Lastly, geese never leave one behind. If one is too tired to continue or falls sick, always, another, sometimes more, will stay with the fallen one. How nice!! I'm really not sure how someone knows these facts for sure, but I loved them! HA I started thinking about people in my life that have and are "honkin" for me, encouraging me when I need it most. Those who have helped me when I am tired, or stayed with me when I felt that I could not handle something. I am so fortunate to have friends and family in my life who love and care for me. Living away from home, hit hard this past week when I was sick. I was suffering with a bad migraine and this cold thing still from my immune being down, and Blake was out of town all week. Since I was little I have always been independent and doing my own thing...until I get sick! The minute I feel bad, I want someone there taking care of me and sometimes just sitting next to me while I feel sick. Well, this past week I was on my own for the very first time! I have always had my mom, a roommate, and Blake while I was sick...I had none this week! I was so sad, Champ did make me feel better, it is weird how animals can sense when something is wrong or out of the norm and immediately adapt to the situation. He snuggled with me, didn't act crazy like usual, and licked my cheek every so often! He didn't even make me let him out as much to use the bathroom, he did a good job holding it! Ha
It made me appreciate the "geese" in my life so much more!

OH YIKES!!!!!!!

My friends...

My ENEMY....

Yep, that's right...2 big ol' shots right in my bum!!! Accompanied by 2 lovely antibiotics :( I am so sad! Literally the last time I was sick was a year ago, I caught the flu right after the Houston Marathon. This year I was determined to not get sick after a fight with 26.2 miles, so I increased my regular dosages of vitamins, Vitamin C, Zinc, Acidophilus and even threw in some Zicam (a homeopathic remedy that includes Vitamin C and Echinacea. Those of you who know me know that I am all about the natural way of healing!! Ha No this does not mean I refuse to have medication in the house, Blake would kill me, we do not share the same views on meds! It does mean I read up on symptoms when I get them and see if there is a way I can kick it with an herb or vitamin. This has been wonderful! Well, I've been sick for a few days. My friends just weren't helping out this time. So I went to the doctor. I had to search for a clinic...we don't even have a general doctor...I'M NEVER SICK!!!! Dr. Blappert hooked me up, until he said I needed, not 1, but yes 2 steroid shots!!! YIKES!!!! I warned him of my fear and fainting...he did not seem to care and told me to "pull 'em down!" YIKES!! Next thing I know I ask him if I may lay down a bit because my ears were ringing and my vision seemed to have left me at that moment! I did not fully pass out, I was pumped! Not sure if it was a partial pass out or what??!!!??!

So he explains that my immune was down after race and I did well by pumpin' the body full of my remedies, but most likely, they used all of this for rebuilding my muscles from the race. Also, this year I started right back into training for Austin, so he thinks I just pushed myself over the edge. I did get the OK to start back running tomorrow!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

I officially have 20 days until Austin! Ready or not body, here we go!! ...going back to bed for now, that is!!! :(
